At East Orange Community Action,  I have coordinated several fundraising events with Delta Sigma Pi to donate funds collected from garage sales. Also, any leftover items were donated to help the worthwhile organization. This center provides many opportunities for you to help out the local community.

"It is the purpose and philosophy of East Orange Community Action to offer cost effective alternatives to the 'Latch Key' or 'Home Alone' problem through day care for elementary and middle school age children of working parents based on a sliding fee scale; to answer the needs of seniors through organized programs that include classes, health checks, and special programs; to answer the needs of the community in general through educational and recreational classes; and to advocate for community needs."
